Sales onboarding programme for new B2B sellers
For teams that are hiring, or that rely on new starters learning from whoever sits nearest. We build a structured first 90 days that teaches the market, the product and the way you sell in the right order, and checks what has been learned. From £9,500 + VAT, six weeks.

What it solves
What we hear from teams before we start.
- Ramp-up takes six months or more
- New hires learn from whoever sits nearest
- Product questions all end up with
pre-sales - Each manager onboards people differently
What we cover
What new sellers learn
- 01
Industry knowledge
The market your customers work in, the pressures they face, the words they use and the rules that shape their decisions. New sellers who understand the customer's world ask better questions from the first call. We write this with your experienced sellers, using the language customers use in recorded calls.
- 02
Your product
What the product does, who it is for and which problems it solves, taught from the customer's side rather than as a feature list. Each module ends with a short check, so the seller can explain it in plain words before facing a customer. Your product managers review the content for accuracy.
- 03
Sales skills and your sales process
How a deal moves through your stages, what must be true to move it on, how to qualify, run discovery and present, and when to bring in
pre-sales . Practice comes through role plays, call shadowing and a review of the first deals, not slides alone. - 04
Upselling and cross-selling
Account managers and customer success people need to know where a customer can grow: which products go together, which signals show a need, and how to raise it without damaging trust. This part is often left out of onboarding altogether, so new account managers learn it slowly, by trial and error.
How it runs
What we do, step by step
- Week 1Discovery
We interview managers, recent hires and strong performers, and gather the material that already exists.
- Week 2Pathway design
A 30, 60 and 90-day plan for each role, with goals and sign-off points your managers agree to.
- Weeks 3–4Content build
Modules, practice exercises and checks, written with your experts and reviewed by them.
- Weeks 5–6Pilot and handover
A first group goes through the pathway. We refine it from what we see, then hand it to your managers.

Questions
Questions about this service
How long should sales onboarding take?
It depends on how complex the product and the sale are. For most B2B roles we plan the first 90 days in detail, with sign-off at 30, 60 and 90 days, and expect learning to carry on after that. A simple product with short deals needs less; a technical sale with long cycles may need more.
What should a sales onboarding plan include?
Clear goals for each stage, the knowledge to cover (industry, customer, product, process and tools), practice such as role plays and call shadowing, checks that show what has been learned, and a named person responsible for each part. Without the checks and the owners, a plan is only a reading list.
What is sales ramp time, and how do you measure it?
Ramp time is how long a new seller takes to perform at the level the role expects. We measure it with milestones you choose up front, such as the first discovery call run alone, the first qualified opportunity or the first closed deal, recorded for each starter so groups can be compared.
How do you onboard a new sales rep who is already experienced?
Experienced hires need less on selling and more on your market, your product and how your team works. They can test out of the skills modules they already know, but keep the product, process and CRM parts, because those are what differ from their last job.
Can you put the content into our LMS?
Yes. The programme includes outlines and scripts ready for your learning platform, or documents if you do not use one. If you want finished e-learning modules built for your LMS, we quote that separately. Tell us which platform you use and we write to fit its format and module length.
Do you work with SDRs, account executives and account managers?
Yes. Each role gets its own pathway on a shared foundation, so everyone tells the same story about the customer.
Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
The price is agreed in writing before work starts, from £9,500. If the scope grows during the work, for example to cover a second role, we quote the extra in writing before doing it. Prices are for VAT-registered businesses and exclude VAT at 20%.
